There is much research to suggest that reducing the supply of alcohol would greatly reduce the amount of drunk-driving accidents; currently, several comprehensive community wide efforts in this area have proven to be effective.
Each state has its own legal definition for alcohol intoxication. Intoxication is defined by blood alcohol concentration. The maximum legal limit usually falls between 0.08 and 0.10 in most states.
